We had an interesting discussion on the difference between sex and gender. According to Allan, sex refers to the biological difference (chromosomes contain Y), while gender refers to how a person thinks of himself/herself. So when a person believes he is a woman trapped in a man’s body, his gender is “female” and sex is “male”.
